ABSTRACT
RESUMO: O presente artigo analisa a prática da apresentação de pacientes enquanto um dispositivo que, ao longo de sua história, foi operado por diferentes discursos. Na medida em que cada discurso implica em diferentes articulações entre seus elementos estruturantes: paciente, apresentador e público; isso repercutiu no uso diferentes técnicas e estratégias de intervenção, assim como no papel destinado à apresentação no tratamento e/ou no ensino.
Abstract: His article examines the practice of patient presentation as an apparatus that, throughout its history, has been operated by different discourses. To the extent that each speech implies different articulations between its structural elements: patient, presenter and public that affected the use of different techniques and intervention strategies, as well as on paper intended for presentation in the treatment and/or teaching.

Este artigo analisa as influências que Lacan recebeu de seu mestre, Clérambault, ressaltando os pontos de continuidade e as alterações produzidas, na prática da apresentação, a partir de sua operação pelo discurso do analista.
The presentation of patients is a traditional device in psychiatry and was introduced into psychoanalysis by Lacan. This article analyzes the influences that Lacan received from his master, Clérambault, highlighting the points of continuity and the changes produced in the practice of presentation, based on its operation through the discourse of the analyst.
La présentation des patients est un dispositif traditionnel de la psychiatrie qui a été introduit en psychanalyse par Lacan. Cet article analyse l'influence de Clérambault sur Lacan, son élève, en soulignant les points de continuité et les changements qui se produisent dans la pratique de la présentation à partir de sa réalisation par le discours de l'analyste.

Nos últimos anos, a prática da apresentação de pacientes vem crescendo no campo psicanalítico, e isto se deve, sem dúvida, aos incontestáveis efeitos clínicos por ela produzidos. Para se fazer uma análise crítica e avançar nas elaborações e sistematizações acerca da apresentação, é preciso conhecer as bases conceituais sobre as quais o processo se deu. Procura-se, aqui, esboçar um mapeamento histórico, procurando identificar as circunstâncias de seu surgimento, transformações pelas quais passou, até seu uso no momento atual.
Patient Presentation: (re)discovering the clinical dimension. On the last years, the practice of patient presentation comes growing in the psychoanalytic field, and this is, without a doubt, because of the incontestable clinical effects that it produces. To become a critical analysis and to advance in the elaborations concerning the presentation, it is necessary to know the conceptual bases on which the process occurred. This work has as objective to sketch a historical mapping, seeking for identifying the circumstances of its sprouting, transformations through which it passed until its use at the current moment.
